Rangers could be boosted by the return of David Templeton and
Francisco Sandaza for their William Hill Scottish Cup tie against Elgin
on Sunday.
Templeton is set to be named in the squad for the first time since
suffering ankle ligament damage in mid-September, before a hamstring
injury delayed his comeback.
Sandaza could also come into contention after a number of weeks on
the sidelines with a fractured cheekbone, while skipper Lee McCulloch is
available for selection after a slight calf strain last week.
Manager Ally McCoist says Elgin will be welcomed "with open arms" for
the tie at Ibrox despite the ticket fiasco that saw last week's league
clash between the two clubs postponed.
The Irn-Bru Third Division fixture was called off after it emerged
too many tickets had been sold for the match at Borough Briggs -
resulting in Elgin being hit with a #25,000 fine by the Scottish
Football League.
McCoist said: "These things happen. I would congratulate the League
for dealing with it swiftly and fining Elgin. We got no satisfaction out
of what happened and we didn't feel we were demanding justice.
"We were just disappointed primarily for our own supporters, who
travel long distances. It's over and done with now and we can all move
on.
"We will welcome Elgin on Sunday with open arms again and look forward to a good cup tie."
Elgin miss only winger Lewis Halford through a calf injury as they
head to face Rangers at Ibrox just eight days after the game that never
was between the sides at Borough Briggs.
Boss Ross Jack said: "The players had to move on quickly and to be
fair they have done that and their concentration on Sunday's game has
been first class.
"We will play this game slightly different from how we would have
approached last Saturdays as we are now away from home on a bigger
pitch."
