Although it may be true that the Murray-Djokovic final is going to be in the centre of attention today, I would say that the first match of the schedule, which will see Hradecka/Cermak playing against Gajdosova/Ebden, also deserves some attention from the betting point of view. Pinnacle, for example, are offering 1.80 for the Czech duo to capture the title and I think that those odds are worth taking.

Look - it is true that mixed doubles have always been a fairly unpredictable discipline in this particular format. However, it is also true that the teams that play the better tennis win much more often than those that don't. And I fully believe that Lucie Hradecka and Frantisek Cermak are going to play better than their opponents today. First of all, they have more quality when it comes to doubles, with Lucie Hradecka being one of the very best doubles players in the world and Frantisek Cermak being a very experienced specialist.

Meanwhile, both Gajdosova and Ebden play doubles only as an addition to their regular singles careers.
Furthermore, I think that the the Australian duo (and especially Gajdosova, who seems to be one of the least consistent players on the tour right now) is also much more likely to crack under pressure - and you can be sure that there is going to be a lot of pressure on them today with the locals expecting them to capture the title. Like Sijsling/Haase, I think that the two are actually quite lucky to be in the finals. And, just like yesterday, I think that the better team is going to win in the finals.
