The 2013 Copa del Sol takes place in Marbella and Pinatar (Region of Murcia, Spain) between 23 January and 2 February 2013. The tournament give an opening to the newly constructed Pinatar Arena Football Center. Like in the previous edition, 12 teams was divided into two groups, the Red Group and the Blue Group
The Premium Club tournament Copa del Sol has been a success since the introduction in 2010. When the fourth edition kicks off on January 23rd it includes some of Europe’s giants. CSKA Moscow and Shakhtar Donetsk are to be challenged by the major Nordic clubs FC Copenhagen (Denmark), Swedish IFK Göteborg and Molde FK from Norway.
Copa del Sol will be played between 23 January and 2 February 2013 on the Spanish Alicante coast.

Format
In Copa del Sol, 12 teams are divided into two groups and each team plays three matches. The winners of the two groups face each other in a final, where the total amount of price money is 80'000 euro.
Groups and final match schedule will be announced following acceptance by final team and draw next week.
Copa del Sol
Copa del Sol provides excellent training and match opportunities fort the Scandinavian teams during the challenging winter break. The intention is to provide a top level training environment and matches at a high international level. The tournament 2013 is played between 23 January and 2 February.
Copa del Sol is the result of a partnership between NPFL (Norwegian Professional Football League) and IEC in Sports, part of Lagardère Group. The parties have engaged Matchworld for marketing and team logistics in Russia and Ukraine. Furthermore, Sabra Tours and Phoenix handle team logistics and management in the region during the tournament period.

Match venues are located at La Manga Club Football Center (La Manga) and Pinatar Arena (Pinatar) on the Spanish coast south of Alicante.
