This will be the second fight of the year for fan favorite Mikkel Kessler. He knocked out Allan Green in May of this year. Currently, Kessler has an overall record of 45 wins and just two losses. 34 of his victories came by the way of knockout. The 33 year old is hoping that an impressive victory over Brian Magee will put him in line for a big money rematch against Carl Froch. Kessler actually defeated Froch in an entertaining (and controversial) fight back in 2010.

Brian Magee will enter the ring as the clear underdog. At 37 years old, he is past his prime and has never been on the same level as Mikkel Kessler as a professional prized fighter. His overall record consists of 36 wins, four losses and one draw. He has 25 wins coming by way of knockout.

This fight could be fun to watch while it lasts, but we would be very surprised if Kessler doesn't eventually knockout Magee. We realize that Magee is a crowd pleaser and will fight his heart out, but he is not on the same level as Kessler. Mikkel Kessler shouldn't be fighting guys like Magee because he is obviously better than them. It is time for him to step up his level of competition and start fighting the best in the world again.
