Dempo SC are back to familiar territory as they are on top of the I-League after beating Salgaocar FC last weekend. Armando Colaco's men were helped by the fact that East Bengal had drawn away to Shillong Lajong FC. They now face Eelco Schattorie's Prayag United who are still coming to terms with the defeat handed to them at home by Mumbai FC.

Colaco's squad is hit with injuries to key personnel Clifford Miranda, Anthony Pereira, Koko Sakibo and Subasish Roychoudhury. However, their replacements performed admirably against Salgaocar and got the three points.

No player would have liked to be in the vicinity of Eelco Schattorie last week as he saw his Prayag United side throw away a lead in the dying embers of the game to Mumbai FC and ended up losing the match 3-2. After a rollicking start to his Prayag managerial career by beating United Sikkim 10-1, the Dutchman's side have not looked exactly at their best and have been exposed defensively on more than one occasion. The Kolkata side will not find things any easier when they visit the home of the reigning I-League champions Dempo SC who are currently on top of the table.

The match also marks the return of former Dempo striker Ranti Martins to his old stomping ground. The 26-year old Nigerian spent eight successfull years at Dempo during which he scored an astounding 146 goals. Schattorie will hope that the striker brings his A-game to this game as he looks to assert his influence into this Prayag United side.

TEAM SQUAD :

Dempo SC – Goalkeeper Subhasish Roychoudhury, Clifford Miranda and Anthony Pereira are doubtful starters as they are down with injuries. Romeo Fernandes and Nicolau Borges will in all probabilities keep their places in the starting XI. Rohan Ricketts may get a look-in after his impressive performance last week against Salgaocar.

Prayag United SC – The Kolkatans may recall Subrata Paul to the playing XI after Ishan Debnath's dreadful performance in the loss to Mumbai FC last week. The rest of the team is likely to remain the same as Schattorie looks to end the side's recently acquired rut.
