As for the 2013 Grammy nominees, much is still up in the air. As CBS notes, many of the big albums this season were released after the qualifying date of September 30. This includes compilations from Rihanna, One Direction and Taylor Swift.

Music artists that were this year's biggest success stories such as Carly Rae Jepsen ("Call Me Maybe") and Korean rapper PSY ("Gangnam Style") will likely earn several nods. However, there several major albums released after the September 30 deadline for the Academy's voters to submit therefore making several artists ineligibale to make the cut.

For example, Gotye's hit, "Somebody That I Used To Know," was not submitted in the "Song of the Year" category because it samples from another track.

The "Grammy Nominations Concert Live!!" is being held outside of Los Angeles for the first time. It will occur in Nashville this year at the Bridgestone Arena

The 55th annual Grammy Awards will be shown live on CBS from Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
